I'm finally making progress! I got an excellent start at tackling my koi fish painting I've had in my head for over three years now.
The goal?- Just to have some art work I wouldn't mind hanging in my living room.
I started with trying oil paints, I considered acrylic (never started it though), I tried chalk pastels. Not too long ago I decided to browse Etsy to maybe buy some prints or simply for some inspiration. I ended up pulling a few ideas from artwork I found there and decided to try out watercolor. What better for a water scene? The work was made quickly and far more to my liking than any other method I've tried.
Haven't been really motivated too much to make real artwork.... unless I'm stuck somewhere like work. I do enjoy sketching though.
I've been bored out of my mind since moving to Maryland, having Jeff stuck in Virginia Beach, and knowing pretty much nobody here. Painting is an excellent project to have! Though I rather enjoyed watching the entire Doctor Who collection available on Netflix, as well as Supernatural (sooooo in love with those two shows <3). I didn't really do a whole lot else for a while there....
I also tried watching My Little Pony Friendship is Magic to see what the hype was about.... I still don't understand... I mean, it's a well made cartoon that I wouldn't mind any children I might someday have, watch, but I don't really see why it attracts such an adult audience. I even watched a few episodes in, to see if it got any more entertaining. Nope. To each their own. I at least tried it.
I'm determined to have a corgi puppy sometime soon. Since I don't have a whole lot to do, I've been obsessed over it to the point of having dreams. I am so prepared for one! We have this awesome park nearby, and every time I go, I just wish I had a dog to take with me.
Two more weeks til Jeff gets back. Can't wait.
